  Alan Norris, Chair Emeritus

  Alan Norris is Chair Emeritus of Brookfield Residential, recognized for more than four decades of business leadership with the company and throughout the real estate industry. He joined Carma Developers in 1983, becoming Chief Executive Officer in 1994, and guided the company through its 2011 merger with Brookfield Homes to establish Brookfield Residential, where he continued to serve as Chief Executive Officer until 2021.

  Alan is recognized for his significant community leadership, including chairing the RESOLVE fundraising campaign that raised $120 million for affordable housing in Calgary and serving as Chairman of the Calgary Homeless Foundation. He has been honored with an Honorary Bachelor’s Degree from SAIT and the Calgary Chamber, induction into the BILD Alberta Hall of Fame, and designation as a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) by CPA Alberta.

  Alan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Economics and maintains Chartered Accountant designations in both Scotland and Canada.

  Adrian Foley, President & Chief Executive Officer

  Adrian Foley is President and Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield Residential, one of North America’s leading real estate developers and homebuilders, responsible for the company’s strategic leadership and operational performance across all markets.

  Adrian joined the organization in 1996 and, for nearly two decades, has guided its evolution and growth across the United States and Canada. He has held several senior leadership roles, including leading Brookfield Residential’s California operations and later serving as President and Chief Operating Officer. Throughout his career, Adrian has shaped the company’s long-term vision focused on creating exceptional places to work and live.

  Adrian was born and raised in England, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Greenwich in London.

  Warren Krug, Executive Vice President & Chief Investment Officer

  Warren Krug is Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of Brookfield Residential, responsible for strategic and capital planning, and for advancing the company’s disciplined approach to investment activities and capital allocation within Land Development and Housing Operations across North America.

  He began his career with the company in 2009 and has been instrumental in guiding initiatives that strengthen governance, performance, and long-term growth across the business. Warren serves on the Community Development Council of the Urban Land Institute and has previously advised the SickKids Hospital Innovators program.

  He holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.

  Thomas Lui, Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

  Thomas Lui is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Brookfield Residential, responsible for the company’s financial strategy, planning, and capital management. He oversees finance, accounting, treasury, capital markets, and investor relations, ensuring the company’s financial strength and long-term performance.

  He began his career with the company in 2011 and has played a key role in strengthening financial governance and organizational performance. Thomas serves on the boards of the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoological Society and the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business.

  He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.

  Shane Pearson, Chief Operating Officer

  Shane Pearson is Chief Operating Officer of Brookfield Residential, responsible for driving the expansion of Brookfield Residential’s Land and Housing platform. He aligns and executes the company’s strategic investment and operational priorities, while overseeing its corporate, legal, and risk management functions. Shane is also a member of Brookfield Residential’s Investment Committee.

  Shane joined Brookfield Residential in 2001 and has held various senior leadership roles within the company. Prior to his current position, he led the business' legal and risk management strategy across its residential and commercial development businesses, serving as Chief Legal Officer.

  Shane holds a law degree from the University of Toronto and a degree in Urban Planning from the University of Waterloo.

  Brandon Sharp, Chief Information Officer

  Brandon Sharp is Chief Information Officer of Brookfield Residential, responsible for advancing the company’s technology strategy and innovation across its North American operations. He leads the development of digital platforms and data systems that enhance collaboration, strengthen financial and operational performance, and deliver meaningful insights to support the company’s continued growth.

  With more than 20 years of experience in finance, operations, and information systems leadership, Brandon has held numerous senior roles shaping technology and performance across the land and housing industry before joining Brookfield Residential in 2018.

  Brandon is a licensed CPA (Texas) and holds a Bachelor of Business degree and a Master of Professional Accounting degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

  Don Merlo, Chief Strategic Officer

  Don Merlo is Chief Strategic Officer of Brookfield Residential, responsible for identifying and advancing new opportunities within the company’s land and housing portfolio across North America. His work focuses on growth, innovation, and the development of new business platforms that support Brookfield Residential’s continued success and contribution to communities across its markets.

  During his 30-year tenure at Brookfield Residential, Don has held executive roles spanning land development, housing, and commercial and mixed-use redevelopment, and has successfully led the launch of new business divisions across multiple regions.

  Don holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and a Master of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M University.

  Ted McKibbin, President, U.S. Land & Housing

  Ted McKibbin is President of U.S. Land Development and Housing Operations for Brookfield Residential, leading the company’s integrated land and housing business across the United States. His work centers on operational execution and regional alignment, ensuring Brookfield Residential delivers with consistency and excellence across its U.S. markets.

  For nearly 20 years, Ted has held leadership roles with the company, supporting growth across multiple U.S. markets, including early in his career as Vice President of Urban Development.

  Ted holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Southern California.

  Brad Chelton, President, U.S. Land

  Brad Chelton is President of U.S. Land Development for Brookfield Residential, overseeing the company’s land development activities across all U.S. markets. His work focuses on portfolio performance, acquisitions, and development execution, ensuring Brookfield Residential’s land operations support continued growth and market leadership.

  Since joining Brookfield Residential in 2014, Brad has held leadership roles in both Arizona and Texas, playing a central role in advancing the company’s U.S. land platform. He is also an active contributor to the development and construction industry, having served on the boards of the Home Builders Association and the Urban Land Institute, among other organizations at the local and national level.

  Brad holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and a Certificate in Finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

  Trent Edwards, President, Canada Land & Housing

  Trent Edwards is President of Canadian Land Development and Housing Operations for Brookfield Residential, leading the company’s integrated land and housing business across Canada and the Pacific Northwest. His work centers on operational execution and regional alignment, ensuring Brookfield Residential delivers with consistency and excellence across these markets.

  Trent has held senior leadership roles with the company, including previous roles as Chief Operating Officer in both Alberta and Australia. He is actively involved in the industry and his community, serving on the board of the Westman Centre for Real Estate Studies at the University of Calgary, as Co-Chair of the Real Estate Advisory Committee in Calgary, and on the Selection and Advisory Committee for the Calgary Influential Women in Business Awards.

  Trent holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.

  Bill Meyer, President, U.S. Land, Southeast

  Bill Meyer is President of Southeast Land Development for Brookfield Residential, leading the company’s land business across North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. His work centers on strategic growth, acquisitions, and development execution, ensuring Brookfield Residential’s land operations deliver value and support the company’s continued expansion across the Southeast.

  With more than 35 years of experience in real estate development, Bill has held senior leadership roles overseeing land acquisition, entitlement, project management, and asset management across multiple markets. He also serves on the National Association of Home Builders’ Land Use Policy Subcommittee, helping to address emerging land-use issues and advance industry policy.

  Bill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and is a licensed CPA in Texas.

  Nicole Burdette, President, Southern California

  Nicole Burdette is President of Southern California Land Development and Housing Operations for Brookfield Residential, overseeing operations across Southern California and Arizona. Her work focuses on advancing growth and operational performance, expanding Brookfield Residential’s presence in key markets, and delivering communities that reflect the company’s commitment to excellence and long-term success.

  Since joining Brookfield Residential in 2000, Nicole has contributed to the company’s growth through leadership roles in acquisitions, business strategy, and operations. Beyond her work at Brookfield Residential, she serves as Co-Chair of the Construction Industry Alliance supporting City of Hope Orange County and as a mentor with the ULI OC/IE Center for Leadership.

  Nicole holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication from Arizona State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from National University.

  Gregg Hughes, President, DC Metro Area

  Gregg Hughes is President for Brookfield Residential’s DC Metro region, responsible for the leadership and oversight of Land Development and Housing Operations across Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, North and South Carolina, and Massachusetts.

  He began his career with the company in 1993 and has held senior leadership positions focused on advancing homebuilding operations and guiding Brookfield Residential’s continued growth throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions.

  Gregg holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from Clemson University and serves on the board of the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association.

  Scott Janis, President, Alberta

  Scott Janis is President of Alberta Land Development and Housing Operations for Brookfield Residential, leading the company’s land and housing business across the province. His work focuses on guiding operational performance and supporting the delivery of well-planned communities that contribute to Alberta’s continued growth and success.

  He joined Brookfield Residential in 2008 and has held leadership roles including Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Alberta and President of Edmonton operations. Scott serves on the board of the Edmonton Community Development Corporation, a non-profit organization that partners with communities to strengthen social and economic development.

  Scott is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Master of Professional Accounting degree.

  Josh Roden, President, Northern California

  Josh Roden is President of Northern California Land Development and Housing Operations of Brookfield Residential, overseeing land and housing activities across the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, and the northern Central Valley.

  He brings more than 20 years of experience in real estate development, spanning commercial, residential, retail, and institutional projects. His background includes leadership in acquisitions and operations, guiding complex developments from planning through delivery, and extends to industry and community involvement through board service with the Bay Area Building Industry Association and HomeAid, and serves as an Eagle Scout with Scouting America.

  Josh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Marquette University and maintains a California Real Estate license and a Professional Engineering license.

  Peter Lauener, President, Colorado

  Peter Lauener is President of Colorado Land Development and Housing Operations for Brookfield Residential, overseeing the company’s land and housing activities across the region.

  His work focuses on development execution, operational performance, and strengthening Brookfield Residential’s position in Colorado through the creation of thoughtfully designed, well-planned communities.

  With more than 30 years of experience in real estate development, Peter’s experience spans single-family, multi-family, mixed-use, and hospitality development, along with land, asset, and property management. He also serves on the board of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce and its finance committee and is a member of the Downtown Denver Partnership, Colorado Forum, and the Urban Land Institute.

  Peter holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Whittier College.

  Dea McDonald, President, Arizona

  Dea McDonald is President for Brookfield Residential’s Arizona region, responsible for the leadership and oversight of Land Development and Housing Operations.

  He began his career with the company in 2018 and brings nearly 30 years of experience in master-planned community development and homebuilding across Arizona and Nevada. Actively engaged in the industry, he serves on the boards of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council and the East Valley Partnership, contributing to economic development and community growth in the Phoenix Metro area.

  Dea holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Arizona State University and is a registered Civil Engineer in both Arizona and Nevada.

  Jillian Richmond is Senior Vice President of Land Development for Brookfield Residential, responsible for leading legal strategy and governance for the company’s Land Development and Housing Operations across North America. Her work focuses on providing legal leadership that supports Brookfield Residential’s operations and long-term success.

  With extensive experience in real estate and corporate law, Jillian contributes to Brookfield Residential’s commitment to thoughtful legal consideration that informs business decisions across North America.

  Jillian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Vanderbilt University and a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School.
